Many thoughts in my head and heart this week after attending a prayer meeting. Which one is right? *A church without any prayer meeting at all *A prayer meeting dominated by one person, with one agenda, and everyone prays in that direction *A prayer meeting that consists of one person with a list of needs that people have asked prayer for, most of them being the health needs of loved ones, with maybe a request or two for the various age groups and life situations in the church, (e.g. youth, married couples, singles, widows, etc.) Most prayer meetings I have attended have consisted of either one of these ways of leading a prayer meeting. I'm not saying which way is right, or if any one is wrong, although I would have to say a church without prayer is not going to prosper too much. But is there a better way? What would that look like? God has been speaking to me about being still and quiet before Him, and waiting to hear His voice before I do anything. My goal this year is to have a heightened sensitivity to His voice, and I find this is actually harder to do than I thought it would be. I would love your thoughts on this topic. Fill the B-hive with honey!
